When did LGI Homes begin building new homes?
LGI Homes began building new homes in 2003. Our first community, Summerset Estates, was in Conroe, TX; we sold approximately 337 new homes in their first two years. In 2012, we opened our first community outside of Texas in Phoenix, AZ. In 2013, LGI Homes became a publicly traded homebuilder listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, ticker LGIH.
